Diving in the Red Sea is for everyone! Having a disability should not prevent you from experiencing the marvels of this unique underwater world. A number of Red Sea dive centres provide specifically designed facilities and run specialised diving programs. On-hand, experienced staff members have a clear understanding of the possible challenges facing disabled divers. Courses are usually adapted according to the type of disability. Instructors concentrate on what can be achieved, not on limitations. Your impairment does not have to be a constraint to diving safely and enjoyably. The sea is an excellent mentor and within it you can discover the best in yourself. "Most disabled people find diving physically liberating, often experiencing a profound sense of freedom rarely found out of the water". Good training is essential. As long as you can float and feel comfortable in the water you are already a potential diver. |
