The beautiful coast of Quseir is almost totally fringed by an uninterrupted and well preserved coral reef – making of it a paradise for snorkellers and scuba divers. Only a few sandy bays provide good conditions for other watersports, such as windsurfing, kayaking and sailing with small catamarans. Windsurfing is particularly privileged, as everywhere along the west coast, due to excellent wind conditions all year round. But the strict environment regulations of the area discourage any activity that can damage the precious fragile coral reefs, so watersports are limited to the few spots along El Quseir coast with sandy access. The result is that snorkelling is the top favourite sea related activity in this marine paradise! |
